( Any chunky yarn will work with right size hook)
12mm hook

Notes:
This pattern is worked from the bottom up. The turning chain 1 at the beginning of each row does not count as a stitch. I used a stick I found on a forest walk to hang my piece on. pattern worked in UK terms.
Make sure all the loop stitches are on the same side of your work.
If your new to loop stitch I suggest you watch one of the many fantastic tutorials there is on offer over on youtube.

To finish:
You can cut your loops in half to make more of a fluffy tree finish.
Cut 21 strands of yarn 14 inches long and loop through each stitch of your beginning chain.
I’ve attached a Pom Pom to the top of my tree to decorate. A crochet star or some holly would look lovely too.
Cut a piece of string - yarn of whatever size you choose ( I cut a piece 18 inches long) double knot on both sides of your stick ready to hang somewhere nice.
